The picture above is the only school in Costa Rica made primarily of Bamboo, a sustainable resource. It is a beautiful facility (which we passed on the Discovery tour with Eric) down a dirt road off the main gravel road to Carate. The project was spearheaded by Lana Wedmore, the owner of Luna Lodge as a way of giving back to the community she now calls home.
