Home Run in Bandhavgarh Park

Ok, maybe I should have picked a tiger for the lead photo because it would have been more consistent with the title. I thought the readers might be getting a little tired of seeing the magnificent cats, and the Gray Langur monkey was just begging for some recognition. In India they play cricket not baseball, but the baseball analogy works—four safaris, four Tiger sightings, a home run. According to my naturalist, Happy, that is unheard of and sets a record for him in January. What’s more, we saw ten different tigers in total. We also saw a leopard, four types of hoofed animals, two species of primates, plenty of birds, and beautiful scenery. You just can’t beat that! Happy said before I leave tomorrow, he would try to put together a species list.
